In 1999, the Niagara Escarpment was designated a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO, making it one of only 12 in all of Canada. Why don’t you come to Lowville and discover not only a fun golf course but a destination you will return to again and again?
The Lowville Golf Club was originally built in 1973 by the Gudgeon Family who had lived on the family farm that was converted into the new golf course. The Gudgeon family had local roots and where well known and respected in Lowville as well as other local communities. They understood the newfound popularity of the game and the opportunity for growth that laid ahead as the forged into the new business of golf. They successfully operated the Golf Course as a family business until 1998, at which time it was sold to its current ownership group that operates it today.
The Current General Manager, Sandy White has a stake in this ownership group and oversees operations of the facility for them. He has done so since its inception in 1998 when the golf course was completely revamped in the first year of the new ownership to bring it up to date. Renowned Architect Dick Kirkpatrick transformed Lowville Golf Club into one of the gems of Southern Ontario. The natural beauty of the property has been combined with a continued commitment to creating a design to please all levels of golf. Our new green construction has produced a putting surface that will rival the area's best. Postcard scenery, challenging golf, friendly staff, and affordable prices have made us a must on your golf calendar.
In 2005 another major project was taken on by the ownership group and a brand new clubhouse was constructed. Our tasteful new clubhouse will now accommodate banquets of up to 150 people and the versatility of our building allows us to cater to groups as small as 8 to as large as 150 in comfortable cozy settings. Beautiful escarpment views of Mt. Nemo and Rattlesnake Point will complement any function. We provide a unique experience at an affordable price.
In 2012 another major construction project was completed. After struggling for decades with insufficient water holding ponds, Lowville was finally given permission from the Halton region conservation authority, Niagara escarpment commission, the City of Burlington & the ministry of natural resources to build a reservoir to ensure proper irrigation for the property.
It is quite obvious that the current management philosophy is to not rest on what we have done in the past but to continue to forge ahead in the future. Our commitment is to ensure we remain a leader in all areas of our business with a focus on the most important thing, YOU!!

I was golfing when a stray golf ball struck my arm - your staff were very attentive and called an ambulance to assess the injury and whether it required attention - they did not think it was a fracture but advised that I go the emergency department of a hospital to make sure - again, my appreciation in the professional and caring manner in which this was handled.

I can't thank you and your staff enough for yesterday's event at Lowville! Everything went off without a hitch and we all had an amazing time! Please also recognize Arn(?) the marshall... he was amazing with the seniors, so kind and patient. What a great job he does and it's obvious he enjoys doing it! The food was fantastic and I heard about it all the way home, they all said they would definitely be returning for a nine and dine :)

Last evening a group of 6 of us took part in your Nine and Dine. Although we have participated in many throughout the region I had not yet played at Lowville. I want to say that that was one of the best dinners I have had. The pork was delicious, cooked perfectly and nicely complemented with the sauces. I have never been one to write reviews or testimonials but in this case I wanted everyone to know how much Lowville Golf Club went above and beyond when it came to our Golf Event last fall. From the moment we decided to host our event, Sandy and his team stepped up and assisted us in many of our planning decisions. The knowledge and understanding of how to run an event was so very obvious and they made it seem effortless. Lorna and the Food and Beverage department where also a great asset in planning and were totally involved right through to the execution the day of the event. Our meal was wonderful and people are still saying how much they enjoyed it. Ken and the boys in the Golf Shop helped us in sourcing prizes for the event and played a vital role in making the day go off without a hitch.
